As a Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer here at  Honeywell Smart Energy , you will play a critical role in the design, development and implementation of advanced hardware systems for cutting-edge smart energy solutions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of innovative hardware solutions for Smart Metering Technology and Smart Grid applications for gas, electric and water grids.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced hardware solutions for Smart Metering products and associated systems
  • Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and define project requirements will enable seamless integration with other components and systems, enhancing the overall performance and functionality of our Smart Metering products.
  • Perform hardware testing and validation to ensure product performance and reliability.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate new technologies for hardware development
  • Identify opportunities for process and product improvements and contribute to the optimization of operations
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members
  • Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable hardware systems

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Proven experience in hardware design and development

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in the process automation industry is of value. 
  • Knowledge of analog and/or digital circuit design
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
  • Proficient in using simulation and modeling tools for hardware design
  • Experience with FPGA and DSP design
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus) is of value.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
