Position : SENIOR MARINE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER AND DESIGNER

Location : Boston, MA Job Status : Full-time

Position Description

Responsibilities & Duties

• Design drawing development, material/parts specifications, engineering calculations, engineering reports and feasibility studies.

• Perform shipboard surveys.

• Interface with customers and vendors.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

• Minimum Ten years of experience in the marine electrical industry desired.

• Thorough knowledge of ship electrical systems.

• Knowledge of Grounded/Ungrounded Electrical Systems, Power Distribution and Lighting Systems, US Naval (GSO) and Commercial Marine Specifications (IEEE-45).

• Experience developing electrical load analysis, fault current analysis, circuit breaker coordination analysis using SKM or related software.

• Knowledge of Lighting Illumination calculations

• Knowledge of Maritime Regulations (ABS, NAVSEA, MIL, USCG, etc.)

• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.

Other Requirements

Education :Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or higher

Licenses/Certifications: PE Registration desired but not required

Travel : Ability to travel and conduct periodic shipchecks

Citizenship :

Clearance : Required to obtain Secret Clearance
