A Santa Barbara family is looking for a 2nd Chef to join their current Lead Chef in providing week round service.
Locals only at this stage please.
This position requires a medium amount of travel within USA approximately 3-5 day trips.
Creativity is incredibly important - there are lots of different restrictions and preferences so being able to work within tight parameters is key
The ideal candidate Must be:
Great with kids
Have expert communication skills - know how to communicate with a diverse group of people with wide ranging backgrounds.
Open to clear/blunt feedback. Invites critique and is open to adjusting accordingly.
Calm, quiet and thoughtful
Experienced in cooking therapeutic/alternative foods, asian cuisine, food for kids, high end dining - versatility, creativity and a love for what you do is everything.
Joyful and positive - We want a team player who enjoys being in the kitchen and can roll with changes as they come.
Work in a team of about 15 people and all work together. want another hard worker who we can be relied on to get the job done efficiently and with a great attitude.
Subject to change...... Current position to Fill: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Sunday, Monday & Tuesday, plus every other Saturday
Current Chef: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - every other Saturday
Schedule changes depending on travel and chefs personal schedules.
Both chefs travel to other homes (SF, Tahoe, Napa) as well as business trips with Principal to other locations. 3-5 days generally.
Off for Thanksgiving, Christmas day - jan 3, spring break, 1-2 weeks summer (subject to change)
If one chef is traveling with Principal, the other chef is occasionally off - (not cooking for the family for 5 consecutive days max).
The package includes full Medical, dental and vision.
