Job Title: Pega Architect

Location: Memphis, TN (preferred)

Other Locations: Charlotte, NC; New Orleans, LA; Birmingham, AL.

100% Onsite

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Pega Architect to lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and effective Pega-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Pega platforms, including Pega BPM, Pega CRM, and Pega Decisioning, and will be able to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The Pega Architect will collaborate with various teams, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to deliver successful projects that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design:

Design Pega-based applications, components, and solutions based on business requirements and Pega best practices.

Define and design system architectures, workflows, and decisioning models to ensure alignment with business processes.

Technical Leadership:

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams to ensure quality, performance, and timely delivery of solutions.

Review and guide the implementation of Pega rules and ensure adherence to architectural guidelines.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with business goals.

Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth integration with existing systems and applications.

System Implementation & Configuration:

Configure Pega applications and perform development activities, including the setup of Pega modules, rules, and business logic.

Perform code reviews and provide feedback on development work to ensure high standards and compliance with best practices.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting:

Analyze system performance and propose optimization solutions to improve application speed and scalability.

Troubleshoot issues in production environments and recommend solutions to ensure continuous operation.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that Pega applications are tested thoroughly, identifying issues during the development lifecycle, and implementing improvements.

Guide the creation of test plans, test cases, and validation of the applications in various environments.

Continuous Improvement:

Keep up-to-date with the latest Pega technologies and industry best practices.

Lead or participate in the evaluation and implementation of new tools or technologies to enhance business capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Extensive experience (5+ years) working with Pega applications, including Pega BPM, Pega CRM, and Pega Decisioning.

Strong knowledge of Pega PRPC (Pega Rules Process Commander) platform and related components.

Proven experience in system architecture, designing Pega solutions, and implementing integrations.

Experience with Pega best practices, including rules configuration, process flows, data modeling, and UI design.

Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies, and experience working in Agile teams.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Knowledge of Java, SQL, and web services (REST/SOAP) is a plus.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA).

Experience in cloud-based Pega deployments (e.g., Pega Cloud).

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools in a Pega environment.

Experience in Pega RPA (Robotic Process Automation) or Pega AI/Decisioning modules.
