LaSalle Network has partnered with a dynamic international law firm based headquartered in Chicago, dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to their clients. Their team is committed to excellence and innovation, and we are looking for a skilled Legal Billing Analyst to join their finance department.

The Legal Billing Analyst will be responsible for managing the billing processes for the firm, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and client agreements. This role will involve collaboration with attorneys and administrative staff to facilitate efficient billing practices and enhance the overall client experience.

Legal Billing Analyst Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review client invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to billing guidelines
• Analyze billing data and generate reports to track performance metrics and trends
• Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes by communicating with clients and internal teams
• Maintain and update billing software and systems for optimal efficiency
• Assist with the implementation of best practices in billing processes
• Collaborate with attorneys to manage billing arrangements and fee structures
• Conduct training sessions for staff on billing procedures and software
• Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting

Legal Billing Analyst Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in legal billing or finance, preferably within a law firm
• Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Aderant, Elite, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of legal terminology and practices is a plus
