Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Calibrates gages, inspects hand tools, adjusts gage intervals in accordance with API specifications. Creates traceability records which tie back to NIST.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working safely.
• Maintenance and calibration of gauges.
• Maintaining a drift inventory.
• Receiving inspections of critical parts.
• Auditing production lines.
• Documenting calibrations and repair of gauges.
• Housekeeping of the gauge room.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Must have a thorough understanding of API specifications related to tubular goods.
• Experience or training in the care and maintenance of measuring and test equipment.
• Must be proficient in API Thread Gauging.
• Must have good communication skills and be capable of maintaining historical records of gauge certifications and repairs.
