Job Summary:


1. Work as a key member of Enterprise Data Asset team.
2. Analyze datasets to support the agency's cloud-based data management platform.
3. Develop data requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
4. Develop ETL to extract business data and spatial data and load it into a data warehousing environment.
5. Consult with various teams to understand the company's data storage needs.
6. Must be well-versed in coding languages such as Python, Java, XML, and SQL.
7. Handle multiple projects and remain flexible and productive despite changing priorities and processes.
8. Work with project team members and business stakeholders to understand business processes.
9. Develop expertise in source system datasets and data lifecycle.
10. Elicit, record, and manage metadata.
11. Decompose requirements into Epics and Features and create clear and concise user stories.
12. Assist Product Owner in maintaining the product backlog.
13. Collaborate with staff, vendors, consultants, and contractors to formulate, detail and test potential and implemented solutions.
14. Develop new data engineering processes that leverage a new cloud architecture.
15. Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other data consumers within the business.
16. Minimum of 10 years of experience delivering business data analysis artifacts.
17. 5+ years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst.
18. Proficient with defining acceptance criteria and managing acceptance process.
19. Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure data factory, snowflake.
20. Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and enterprise data management.
21. Strong knowledge of database architectures and data integrations.
22. Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
23. Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office products.
24. Deep passion for data analytics technologies and extensive familiarity with ETL, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools.
25. Experience with key data warehousing architectures including Kimball and Inmon.
26. Technologies Required: Data Factory v2, Data Lake Store, Data Lake Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, AZURE Synapse, IBM Datastage, Erwin, SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), ORACLE, T-SQL, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Datawarehouse, Operating System Environments (Windows, Unix, etc.), Scripting experience with Windows and/or Python, Linux Shell scripting.
